About Me
Semi-proud of her WV roots, Kari is an unpublished author/writer who loves psychological horror, suspense, and thrillers.
As a teenager, she read as many true crime novels as she could get her hands on and became fascinated by serial killers and mass murderers. At one time, her desired career choice was forensic psychologist.
And then life happened. The college she attended did not have a program in forensics and she became involved in computer science. Once THAT program was disbanded, she left school for a while. The best paying positions for someone of no real experience were for the random telemarketing companies, companies that appeared in WV due to the friendliness of the area as well as the need for “higher” paying jobs for unskilled workers.
After a slew of telemarketing positions and a stint as a barista at a local coffee shop/bookstore, she worked for Amazon.com for two years before leaving to pursue a degree in physics and mathematics from the same college she left earlier.
After graduation, she married her husband and moved to Colorado where they started a new life in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Their daughter is currently in kindergarten and is autistic and provides lots of challenges and opportunities to practice patience.
Kari chose to forego her Master’s degree, instead staying at home with her daughter in the early years and go after her true dream of being a fiction writer.
